ARGO was founded in 1962 as a gear and transmission manufacturer in New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada. Our corporate name Ontario Drive & Gear Limited proudly reflects our heritage. We have two manufacturing facilities in New Hamburg, totaling 121,000 square feet where we design, manufacture, assemble, and test our vehicles and their most critical component – the transmissions.
The ARGO, proudly Made In Canada, has been the world’s best selling light amphibious, extreme terrain vehicle since 1967!
We sell the ARGO and its capabilities worldwide to users who demand the best, into some of the most remote regions of the world. We invite you to explore this website to experience the ARGO in videos and pictures and decide for yourself where it could take you!
Inside of each ARGO you will find a transmission that is designed and manufactured in house at our ODG Gear Division. No other amphibious vehicle manufacture can claim that their transmissions benefit from the expertise, experience and technology of a world-class gear and transmission manufacture that is trusted by Toyota Industrial Equipment, Caterpillar, Volvo Industrial Equipment, and whose parts drive anything from Zambonis™ to Jeeps™.
With our ISO 2001 and ISO 14001 registrations, our high-tech equipment such as a 13-axis gear shaper and other machines rarely found in North-America, ODG has established a rock solid reputation for the design, manufacture, assembly and test of gears and transmissions of the highest quality.
ARGO and ODG are your solutions when only the best will do.
